You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 6:7
Scripture: Colossians 1:11-12: Strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
Main Thought: The strength that any Christian possesses is not a result of our own efforts, it is the result of God’s power being given to us, His children.
Questions To Discuss: Why do we need His strength in our lives? What are some ways that God provides strength to His children?
Main Things To Pray For Each Other: Pray that we would understand our need for God’s power in our lives. Pray that in our times of weakness we would lean on our Lord to find His strength available to us. Finally, as the text mentions, let’s pause and give thanks to our great God.
Suggested Prayer Items: God, help us to rely on You for what we need in life. Help us to lean into You in times of struggle, weakness, and inadequacy. God, we thank You for all of the many blessings You have blessed us with. Thank You for being our awesome and gracious Father!
