Scripture: I Corinthians 10:14: Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
Questions To Discuss: What is idolatry? (anything we love more than God, anything we exalt to a place of worship in our hearts and lives). Why are we prone to idolatry?
Main Thoughts: There are certain things in life that we don’t even need to flirt with; we need to run from them for the sake of our souls! What might be some areas of your life that you struggle with idolatry?
Main Things To Pray For Each Other: Pray that we would be able to identify any idols in our lives and that we would have the strength and resolve, through God’s help, to remove them. Pray for a deep love for God that surpasses all of our other earthly loves.
Suggested Prayer Items: God, we are so thankful for Your activity in our lives. We ask You to help us take note of any areas in our lives where we struggle with idolatry. And help us to see how dangerous those things are. God, we pray that our hearts would be passionate for You! Help us to seek You and walk with You. Amen.
