You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 6:7
Scripture: I Peter 3:8-9: To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; 9 not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.
Main Thoughts: These verses reveal some things that all Christians should be about in life. We are to love one another and bless one another. We are to be examples for the world.
Questions To Discuss: How would our relationships in life look if we chose to live according to these principles? Why is it important that we do so? How do these actions reflect the actions of Christ? (Read Philippians 2:3-5)
Main Things To Pray For Each Other: Pray that we would choose to be people of unity, sympathy, love, tenderness, and humility. Ask God to empower us to make choices that are in line with these things. Pray that if there are any relationships in our lives that are not right, we would have the humility to try to make things right.
Suggested Prayer: God, we thank You for giving us the ultimate example in this through Jesus! Help us to love one another. Help us to choose to forgive when wronged. Help us to look out for the needs of others. God, may we honor You in our relationships in life.
