You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

Scripture: Acts 4:12-13: And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.
Main Thoughts: In Acts 3 God used Peter and John to heal a lame man. Because of this and because of Peter and John’s bold witness about the resurrection of Christ, they were being grilled by the religious elites in chapter 4. Yet, as 4:13 tells us, the religious leaders could tell that Peter and John were not educated men, but they took note that they had been with Jesus!
Questions To Discuss: Would people look at my life and recognize that I had been with Jesus…..that I was a Christ follower? What are some ways that we can show Christ to the world?
Main Things To Pray For Each Other: Pray that we will seek Jesus and begin to look more and more like Him every day. Ask God to give us a passion to proclaim Jesus to those around us in our words and in our actions.
Suggested Prayer: God, thank You for people like John and Peter and the encouragement they have been to so many Christians throughout history. I pray that my life will reflect You to others in such a way that people will see Jesus in me. Help me to love others out of my love for You.
